General

How is a Host Committee event different from a regular event?

Host Committee events are private, curated open bar parties at the best spots in town where all the guests share connections and commonalities. We make sure the drinks are flowing and the atmosphere is right. Our events are a great way to see good friends while making new connections.

Why do you have to log-in through Facebook in order to use Host Committee?

Our platform integrates with Facebook to enable event Hosts to easily curate guest lists of friends and their friends, so everyone at the party is connected. Facebook integration also allows all invitees to explore the guest list for connections and commonalities before an event takes place.

Who can attend an event?

Hosts select the initial group of guests. Any invited guest who buys a ticket can also make their mark on the party by inviting their friends.

What Does it Cost?

We work with Hosts to curate events specific to their crowd and occasion. All events feature private open bars, entertainment, and dedicated Host Committee staff to ensure everything is taken care of. Ticket prices will vary depending on event features (starting at $20).

How can I become a Host?

Hosts

What does it mean to be a Host?

Being a Host entails using Host Committee to curate your own event. Work with our curators to select the date and venue, and let us know the sort of feel you are looking for. Then you and your co-hosts invite the guests and make sure everyone RSVPs. You and your group enjoy VIP treatment at the party, and we take care of all the details -- the venue, event staff, guest check-in, DJ, photographer and entertainment.

What are the benefits of being a Host?

Aside from eternal love and adoration of all your friends, Hosts get the full VIP treatment at their events. Hosts are greeted at the door by a member of our hospitality staff, and get complimentary drink tickets to share with friends. It’s our way of thanking you for what you do.

What's the Process of Setting up an event?

If you’re interested in hosting an event, let us know a bit about yourself and the party you want to throw. Our professional event curators will get in touch with you to craft your ideal event. Then all you have to do is invite your guests and enjoy the party!

What is the Host Committee? Do I have to have co-Hosts?

We encourage Hosts to team up with their friends to co-host events as a committee. We feel that more event hosts bring more good people into the mix and create a richer experience. That said, there is no requirement to have multiple Hosts.

Is there a minimum number of guests required in order to Host an event?

To be a Host, you need to have at least 15 guests. We encourage our Hosts to reach out to a large group of friends to ensure that each event is full of good people.

What about smaller parties?

The average capacity of our venues is 100-200. You don’t have to fill the venue on your own-- your fellow Hosts and your invited guests will bring their friends as well, creating a party where everyone’s connected. We’re currently exploring adding some smaller venues to the lineup-- we’ll keep you posted!

Who do I talk to about any issues or requests at an event?

Our professional event staff will be on location at every event to provide you and your guests with a high caliber experience. You can reach out to us at anytime during the event, we’re here to help.
